What is missing from this entry
- Her message quoted my letter of September 10 in full below her signature, as a mail client does on a reply. That quoted copy is not reproduced here. It is published unchanged as its own entry, 2026-09-10-sauyet-jennings.
- Nothing she wrote has been removed, shortened, or corrected. The spelling, punctuation, and line breaks are hers.
Thank you for asking me directly, and not guessing (or assuming) any candidate's position. I will admit, I find it concerning that of all the questions that could be asked of a candidate for Connecticut State Senate, the one question you have chosen is whether I will publicly disavow the President of the United States. No sir, I will not, past, present or future. I do not believe Americans should be required to answer for or denounce the President during the previous administration, and I do not believe that should be the standard now. I may not agree with outcomes, but I respect our constitution, and our process. That does not mean I agree with everything the person says, does, or communicates. I don't. But I don't take responsibility for someone else's words or actions. I take responsibility for mine. I think one of the greatest challenges facing our society is that we increasingly define people by which political figures they support, oppose, are willing to denounce, or letter next to their name... rather than asking them what they actually believe. That leaves very little room for independent thought, disagreement, conversation or common ground. I am running for the Connecticut State Senate. The people of the 4th District deserve leadership focused on Connecticut, affordability, taxes, education, housing, public safety, workforce and the policies coming out of Hartford. Those are the issues on which I am asking voters to judge me and, if elected, hold me accountable. I have lot’s to say and offer on all of that. So I welcome another question: one that relates to Connecticut, the 4th Senate District, or an issue I would actually have the responsibility and authority to address as your state senator. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday! :) Jenn Jennings C: (203) 561-6105 jennjennings4senate@gmail.com

The headers doing evidentiary work are shown. 17 other header fields were withheld — routing records, which carry originating IP addresses, and spam-filter scores, which characterize a sender. The full block is retained and will be produced if the authenticity of this message is disputed.
A DKIM signature is strong evidence that a message arrived as sent, not proof: verifying one needs the body byte-exact and the sending domain's key still published, and campaign keys rotate.
